Relationship or family problems (divorce)
Professional stress and burnout
Quitting smoking

Psychotherapy
Therapy is a process to help clients connect with themselves, accept themselves and learn tools to create change in their behavior. This process is especially important when they are exhibiting symptoms that are affecting their quality of life and their well-being. Examples of symptoms:
Anxiety symptoms
Panic attacks and phobias
Binge-eating and restrictive eating
Depressive symptoms
Aggressivity
Risky and impulsive behavior
Self-harming behavior
Other
Dialectical Behavior Therapy is recommended for people with suicidal behavior, self-harming and other emotion dysregulation behavior.
DBT skills training groups
Dialectical Behavior Therapy includes individual psychotherapy, skills training, phone coaching and the therapist’s consultation team. For some clients, these 4 modalities are recommended as the research suggests. For others, stand-alone skills training groups can be sufficient to improve symptoms. The pre-treatment conversations will help us decide the most effective strategy for each client.
The skills training groups is where we teach clients skills in mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance and interpersonal effectiveness. Standard skills training group is 6-months long (24 sessions).
There is a group open for new clients starting April 4th 2026. It will take place every Saturday morning. It will be for people bilingual in Arabic and English.
